Fitness 1 - Basic

Hi guys, I am Vendra from Bali. First, sorry for my 'broken-english' since english is not my primary language.

Alot of people missconcept between fitness and bodybuilding. There are different between fitness and bodybuilding;


  (Bodybuilding : Mainly focus on build muscle)

(Fitness : "fit")

By doing fitness, we can gain more weight OR loss some weight. Since I am so 'thin', so my point of doing fitness is to gain more weight. However, the original purpose of doing fitness ofcourse to get a more healthy and better quality of life.

Basically, fitness training focuses on building strenght and stamina. If you want to successfully hit your target, then you have to workout by discipline, about 4-5 times a week), study the technic/movements, anatomy, nutrition, and so become lifestyle. 

There's some important points to starting fitness :

- Learn the technic, basic rules, etc

- Before you start the exercise in gym, be sure to do stretching, to prevent muscle or joint ijury during workout.

- Exercise every day (over training) will not help the development of muscles, but will only damage your muscles, and probably disorders of the central nervous system and immune may be occur. Yes, it's also true that weigh-lifting will damage the muscles, and muscles recover itself while we are sleeping, that's why you need to sleep about 7-8 hours everyday.

- When you follow the diet to starve, initially most of the fat will be lost, but when you stop doing the diet, the fat will come back and (possibly) increase. The fat gained as the results from metabolism slows down. In addition, during the diet to starve, there will be a lot of muscles will lost and becomes weak, making it difficult to practice.

Fitness was tricky but very fun when we enjoy it. I'll keep continue to share what I knew about fitness. See you again in my next post.
